Humanities: Week of March 2

Hi Folks!

We've now wrapped up our City-State proposals, as well as, a main portion of our Renaissance inquiry. Thank you to those who presented on Thursday, it was SO engaging!! *(See pics below!)

Congrats to 8-1s Medici and 8-2s Pazzi famiglias!

Today, we started our switch up and shuffled into different groupings: welcome to 2 weeks of FIRE & ICE!!

In regards to upcoming tasks, we've got 2 major assignments on the go. Both are due Weds, March 18:

- Final Lit Circle Prompt (Essay #2)
- Influential Figure

*Along the way, we will have check-ins and mini-deadlines as well.

Please use your class time effectively. Some of us have struggled the last while and as such, tasks have come in late, and/or incomplete. You are always given enough time... so please do you work. It's part of learning and organizing yourselves. "Real world preparation" means adhering to real deadlines...

For the next 2 weeks, you will most likely have to work on tasks at home, since there are other things we need to cover in class.

Reminder for anything that might be outstanding:

Lit Prompts (Feb 3, 10, and 18) were due TODAY!
Inquiry Questions: Thinkers & Society/Arts was due FRIDAY, FEB 28

A Final Message Before The Break

Hello 8's! We both just wanted to send out a final message. Since next week is spring break, we won't be receiving or replying to messages until Sunday, March 29. We have all been working hard over the past few months, so we encourage you to step away and relax. As we mentioned in our post from Monday, this past week was still a school week - albeit from home - but you are now officially on spring break. Powerschool has been updated with this week's assignments that were collected. If anything is reflecting as "missing" or "incomplete," that means that we have not received it. This could be a technical issue, but we encourage you to double check (You all know about Mr. Badr's frustration with some vanishing google doc shares) We know there is a lot of uncertainty about what is going to happen after the break. We can't answer your questions regarding that. Please keep an eye on your emails from the CBE and/or TMC School for messages on any u...
